Unwrapped Event Tonight

“Unwrapped – A Charitable Night of Shopping” starts tonight at 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Coquitlam Centre.  Tickets are available from select, registered not-for-profit groups based in the Tri-Cities, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Pitt Meadows and Burnaby or can be purchased  at Coquitlam Centre Guest Services or at the door (London Drugs Entrance, Food Court Entrance & H&M/Zellers Entrance) tonight. 100% of all sale proceeds go to the ticket seller’s not-for-profit group.

The Escents location at Coquitlam Centre will be offering 25-50% off selected items during this event with a pamper station where shoppers can have a free hand massage.

A Charitable Night of Shopping

Barbershop Harmony Society Discount

In Store Happenings

Come by our Commercial Drive store (1744 Commercial Drive) for Fortune Fridays, from 1pm to 3pm, running now through the end of November. Customers can come in and have their tarot cards read, for a donation, by Ruben Ferrera who has over 23 years of experience. Astrology is a universal symbolic language that can provide us with valuable information otherwise lost or unavailable. Give it a try…!

Also at our mall retail locations will be handing out candy on Halloween, so come by for a treat!

Pret-A-Pour-Tea Fundraiser

Escents is proud to participate as a sponsor of the 2009 Pret-A-Pour-Tea fashion fundraiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for the British Columbia/Yukon Region.  The event takes place on October 20 in Queen Elizabeth Park and ticket and event information is available at the event website here.

Tuesday is Senior’s Day

Tuesday is Senior’s Day on Commercial Drive. Senior’s can save 15% on store merchandise on Tuesdays at our Commercial Drive Location (1744 Commercial Drive). The discount does not apply to spa services, gift certificates, sale items and will not be applied to any other in store promotions. Hell’s Kitchen and Hair Defense

The ladies at Escents Whistler are interested to know that chef Gordon Ramsay and his TV show Hell’s Kitchen are going to be shooting in Whistler. Lisa from the Willowbrook location is pretty excited too–she may have to arrange a field trip! I wonder if Ramsay knows that you can cook with essential oils? Hmmm….

“Did you know that you can use our leave in conditioner before you use a flat iron? You will be protecting your hair from the heat as well as from environmental damage like sunshine and chlorine. Just try it!

It’s a Great Day at Escents…

Nina just sent me an email to let me know about a great, heartwarming story from the Park Royal location.

A woman had been in a car accident, and was in terrible pain all the time. She came into the store several months ago, and the ladies at Park Royal gave her arthritis cream for her sore muscles; that was working fine until the poor woman got Bursitis on top of everything else. She couldn’t lift her arm higher than 35 degrees! So they mixed her up some comfrey gel with peppermint, and she was using that on her arm as well. She would put on the arthritis cream at night, and in the morning switch to the comfrey and peppermint.

Writes Nina: “She just walked in with a big smile…She can now lift her arm up to 80 degrees and is no longer in as much pain. She looked amazing. She was glowing. She is so happy, and refers people to our store all the time.”
