We have a new antibacterial recipe to share with you, designed to help ward off germs naturally during the cold and flu season. Using a combination of 100% pure tea tree, lime essential oils, and a choice of unscented lotion, gel or mist, this natural immunity booster is the perfect accessory for back to school.  It is a great alternative to alcohol-based antibacterial gels which can be drying.

Escents’ Antibacterial Recipe can be custom blended in-store at the Escents Blending Bar, or the components can be purchased on-line and blended at home using the following ingredients:
1. 80 drops tea tree essential oil
2. 20 drops lime essential oil (substitute any citrus)
3. 250 ml / 8 oz unscented lotion

The recipe can be blended using a lotion as described, an unscented comfrey gel or a mist base depending on the users preference. *Adjust recipe according to the volume of unscented product used. 12 drops of essential oil should be used per 1 oz unscented product.

I love the smell of tea tree and lime together. I will be sure to try this.

Love this smell too! It’s so great to have an alcohol-free version of hand sanitizer – less drying, doesn’t have that alcohol smell and doesn’t kill the good bacteria your body needs. Besides, anything with lime in it always gets my vote! :)

I have been using this blend in the spa during the massage portion of a manicure to help myself and the client become naturally protected from germs and bacteria. They love the sweet smell of lime and I love the fact that we are both guarded against the nasty winter bugs!
